HTEC and Embotech have formed a strategic partnership to scale deployment of Embotech’s safety-certified Level 4 autonomous driving solutions, which the company reports already move more than 2,500 vehicles autonomously every day across factories, logistics centers, and ports. The agreement pairs Embotech’s TÜV SÜD-certified Level 4 platform with engineering capacity from HTEC, a global technology and AI engineering company headquartered in Silicon Valley. Zurich-based Embotech retains full control of its autonomy platform, certified safety architecture, and product roadmap under the arrangement.

HTEC’s Engineering Role
Under the agreement, HTEC contributes engineering capacity and expertise across four areas:
- Onboard software development for Embotech’s autonomy stack
- Vehicle integration across multiple vehicle platforms
- Connectivity supporting deployments at industrial sites
- System validation for production rollouts
The division of responsibilities is designed to let Embotech deliver its autonomous driving solutions at greater scale while keeping the core technology in-house. For OEMs, logistics providers, and yard operators, the companies say this translates to faster rollouts across multiple sites and vehicle platforms.
The partnership comes as Embotech’s systems are adopted across a growing number of vehicle platforms, customer programs, and industrial sites — a stage at which the company says scaling deployments efficiently matters as much as advancing the technology itself.
A Certified Level 4 Platform in Daily Operation
Embotech’s autonomy solutions operate 24/7 in factories, logistics centers, and ports. The platform combines AI-powered perception, prediction, and motion planning with independently certified safety systems, supporting both vehicle-based and infrastructure-based autonomous operations in industrial logistics.
The company is the first worldwide to hold multiple TÜV-certified Level 4 solutions. Its two certified products — Automated Vehicle Marshalling (AVM) and the Autonomous Tractor Solution (ATS) — run on a shared autonomy platform and are deployed in automotive factories, vehicle distribution centers, ports, and logistics yards.
