Key Highlights
- RoboSense’s E1, EMX, and EM4 automotive-grade LiDARs are now compatible with the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX platform.
- The collaboration aims to shorten development and testing cycles for autonomous driving technologies.
- This integration offers global automakers a premier choice for mainstream and next-generation autonomous systems.
- RoboSense is the only company to mass-produce a digital main LiDAR with more than 500 beams (EM4).
- The partnership supports the automotive industry’s progression from L2 to L3/L4 autonomous driving.
Accelerating Autonomous Driving Development
The automotive industry is in the midst of a significant transformation, with a clear trend toward higher levels of vehicle autonomy. The deep integration of high-performance sensors and powerful AI computing platforms has become essential for building more capable autonomous driving systems.
“We are delighted to join the NVIDIA DRIVE ecosystem to accelerate breakthroughs and upgrades across the global automotive sector,” said Mark Qiu, CEO of RoboSense. “Our mass-producible, automotive-grade, high-performance digital LiDAR, when combined with NVIDIA’s DRIVE AGX, offers leading global automakers a choice for both mainstream and next-generation autonomous driving systems.”
This collaboration is set to drive comprehensive upgrades in autonomous driving, enabling wider commercialization of Robotaxi and intelligent vehicles and paving the way for a safer and more intelligent era of mobility.
Advanced Technology for a New Era
As autonomous driving evolves from L2 to L3/L4 capabilities, the demand for sensors with superior performance and reliability has grown, along with the need for AI platforms with greater processing power. RoboSense’s digital LiDARs serve as a crucial sensing component, providing the detailed environmental data needed for precise perception.
The company stands out as the industry’s only firm to mass-produce both a digital main LiDAR with more than 500 beams (EM4) and a fully solid-state blind-spot LiDAR (E1). The EM4, which leverages an integrated SPAD-SoC and VCSEL chip for unmatched performance, is scheduled to enter mass production in Q3 2025. For Robotaxi applications, the dual-LiDAR solution of EM4+E1 ensures both long-range perception and near-field blind-spot elimination.
The NVIDIA DRIVE AGX platform efficiently processes data from LiDAR, cameras, and other sensors, using sophisticated AI algorithms to facilitate robust perception and real-time decision-making for autonomous systems.
Real-World Automotive Integration
The combination of RoboSense LiDAR and the NVIDIA platform allows developers to simplify prototype development, simulation, and validation, ensuring rapid integration into intelligent vehicles. Multiple automakers are already adopting RoboSense’s LiDAR solutions for their next-generation advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicle products.
Several new models incorporating this technology have already launched. For instance, the Zeekr 9X and the new-generation IM LS6 both integrate RoboSense’s 520-beam LiDAR into their ADAS solutions, showcasing the real-world application and strong momentum of this partnership.
