A major U.S.-based automaker has selected Mobileye’s EyeQ6H processor to power advanced driver assistance systems across millions of vehicles worldwide. The unnamed manufacturer will offer Surround ADAS as standard equipment on mainstream and premium models within software-defined vehicle architectures.

Expanding Market Footprint
The new contract follows Mobileye’s March 2025 announcement of a similar agreement with Volkswagen Group. Combined, these programs represent significant momentum for the company’s integrated ADAS approach.
Mobileye President and CEO Prof. Amnon Shashua characterized the deal as validation of the company’s strategy.

Technical Architecture
The Surround ADAS platform consolidates multiple driving functions onto a single ECU, reducing costs compared to first-generation hands-free systems. A typical configuration includes:
- One forward-looking high-resolution camera
- Four corner parking cameras
- Multiple radar sensors
- Total sensor count up to 11 units
The EyeQ6H integrates computer vision, sensor fusion, and REM crowdsourced driving data on one processor.

Surround ADAS delivers a software-defined feature set for designated driving areas and conditions. Core functions include:
- Hands-free, eyes-on highway driving up to 81 mph (130 kph)
- Automated lane change
- Highway traffic jam assist
- Cut-in protection
- Advanced blind spot detection
- Evasive maneuver assist
- Enhanced pedestrian detection
- Integrated driver monitoring
- Optional automated parking
Crowdsourced Mapping Coverage
REM data collection spans more than 8 million vehicles across 18 automotive brands and 50 vehicle models. Current coverage includes nearly all highway and arterial roads in the United States and Europe, plus more than 90 percent of roads in key Asian markets.
The EyeQ6H’s processing capacity supports over-the-air updates for future features and cybersecurity protections.
Regulatory and Market Drivers
Mobileye anticipates Surround ADAS-type systems will become standard equipment on many European and U.S. models as regulators increase ADAS performance requirements globally. Consumer demand for hands-free highway driving continues to rise in developed markets.
Through 2024, approximately 200 million vehicles worldwide have been built with Mobileye’s EyeQ technology. The company trades on Nasdaq under the ticker MBLY. Intel retains majority ownership following Mobileye’s 2022 spin-off.
