Applied Intuition and NVIDIA Partner on L2+ ADAS Deployment

Applied Intuition partners with NVIDIA to offer automakers a production-ready L2+ ADAS software stack optimized for DRIVE AGX Orin and Thor platforms.

Applied Intuition has partnered with NVIDIA to accelerate the development and deployment of Level 2+ driver assistance systems for automakers globally. The collaboration, announced at NVIDIA GTC, positions Applied Intuition as a recommended software provider for OEMs building L2+ highway driving on NVIDIA hardware.

Highlights

  • Applied Intuition’s L2+ ADAS stack is optimized for NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin and the upcoming DRIVE AGX Thor platforms.
  • The partnership incorporates NVIDIA Cosmos World Foundation Models for synthetic data generation and sensor dataset augmentation.
  • The solution targets mass-market deployment, addressing cost, power consumption, and thermal constraints across ICE, hybrid, and electric vehicle architectures.
  • Applied Intuition’s simulation flywheel enables petabyte-scale dataset curation for closed-loop stack training and evaluation.

Platform and Hardware Integration

Applied Intuition’s L2+ stack supports highway driving, safety features, and automated parking. It is optimized for both the current NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin and the forthcoming DRIVE AGX Thor, allowing automakers to deploy across a range of vehicle architectures.

“Our work with NVIDIA raises the bar across the full range of powertrains—from ICE and hybrid to fully electric—giving automakers a clear, confident path to deploy L2+ autonomy by combining NVIDIA’s hardware leadership with software designed to meet regulatory, safety and manufacturing realities,” said Varun Mittal, president of Applied Intuition.

Rishi Dhall, vice president of automotive at NVIDIA, said the collaboration aims to help OEMs accelerate development and deliver scalable driver-assistance capabilities worldwide.

Data Engine and Simulation

The L2+ stack is built on a data and simulation flywheel designed for continuous development. It curates petabyte-scale datasets to train and evaluate stacks in closed-loop simulation. Applied Intuition’s tooling now incorporates NVIDIA Cosmos World Foundation Models for data augmentation and synthetic generation, enabling diverse weather, lighting, and behavioral conditions in sensor datasets.

Addressing Mass-Market Constraints

As automakers prioritize L2+ as an essential feature, many face real-world constraints around cost, power consumption, thermal envelopes, and packaging. These challenges are particularly acute for ICE vehicles and mass-market hybrids. Applied Intuition’s software is engineered to address these constraints on NVIDIA platforms.

The collaboration also includes a Vehicle OS layer that integrates infotainment, high-performance middleware, and a safety-critical software architecture compatible with NVIDIA DriveOS.
