Marti Technologies (NYSE American: MRT), Türkiye’s leading mobility super app, has signed a multi-year agreement with Tensor to purchase and deploy the AV maker’s Level 4 vehicles across the 20 Turkish cities where Marti currently operates, a footprint the company says accounts for roughly 80% of Türkiye’s gross domestic product. The deal centers on Tensor’s Robocar platform, a vehicle designed from the ground up for both personal ownership and professional fleet operations, which the companies plan to integrate directly into Marti’s existing ride-hailing app once the rollout begins. The agreement extends Tensor’s international expansion beyond its previously announced partners in the U.S., United Arab Emirates, and Europe, and marks the company’s first disclosed deployment partner in Türkiye.

Under the agreement, Marti will purchase Tensor autonomous vehicles and introduce them gradually across its Turkish markets, adding driverless ride options alongside its existing car, motorcycle, and taxi driver network. Marti’s ride-hailing service currently spans 20 cities — including Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Kocaeli, and Bursa — a footprint the company says covers about 80% of Türkiye’s GDP and has drawn approximately 7.8 million all-time unique consumers to the platform. Once the rollout begins, Marti says consumers will be able to hail a Tensor AV directly through the existing Marti app rather than a separate service.
Tensor’s Robocar Platform
Founded in Silicon Valley in 2016, Tensor says it was the first company to design a Level 4 autonomous vehicle from the ground up for both personal ownership and professional fleet use. The company holds California’s second-ever driverless testing permit for passenger vehicles and unveiled its personal Robocar in August 2025 after roughly a decade of AV development. While the platform is built primarily for private owners, Tensor says it is fully functional for fleet deployment, with native ride-share features that let a Robocar integrate into networks such as Marti’s.
The vehicle runs on a vertically integrated compute and sensor stack, including Tensor’s own sensor-cleaning technology, and receives over-the-air updates that extend down to the firmware level. Its onboard supercomputer uses eight Thor-X NVIDIA GPUs to run the vehicle’s AI systems within what Tensor describes as a high-redundancy, safety-first architecture.

Company Backgrounds
Tensor is headquartered in San Jose, California, with additional offices in Barcelona, Singapore, and Dubai. The company secured its first California public road testing permit in 2017, then became the second company in state history to receive a CPUC permit for public robotaxi testing in 2019 and the second to obtain a DMV permit for fully driverless passenger vehicle operation in 2020. Tensor’s other deployment partners include Lyft, which announced a similar Robocar partnership last October to bring the vehicles onto its U.S. rideshare network.
Marti, founded in 2018, operates a ride-hailing service matching riders with car, motorcycle, and taxi drivers, alongside delivery services and a fleet of rental e-mopeds, e-bikes, and e-scooters, all run on proprietary software and IoT infrastructure.
