In a strategic addition to the team, Axel Gern, a seasoned expert in the autonomous vehicle industry, has been appointed as the Head of Engineering in Germany to spearhead the COE and the European engineering team.

Axel Gern’s vast experience spans over 20 years in developing advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous driving technologies. Before joining Aeva, Gern held significant positions at Mercedes Benz, Daimler Truck, and Torc Robotics, among others. His expertise is anticipated to be a driving force in leading Aeva’s engineering efforts in Europe.
