General Motors named Valeo its Supplier of the Year in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems for the fourth consecutive year, alongside a second 2026 award recognizing the supplier’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems built in Brazil. The dual recognition, announced from Valeo’s North American headquarters in Troy, Michigan, spans two distinct technology categories and continues a streak that began in 2023. The annual GM program evaluates suppliers on innovation, scale and quality across the automaker’s global supply base.

What the ADAS Award Recognizes
Valeo’s ADAS technologies support driving and parking functions by fusing input from cameras, radar and ultrasonic sensors into a 360-degree digital representation of the vehicle’s surroundings. The company is scaling hardware and software development in North America under its Elevate 2028 plan, with the strategy targeting the industry’s transition to software-defined vehicles.

The fourth-year recognition extends a run of GM ADAS awards going back to 2023. Valeo’s latest North American ADAS program — a localized version of its VSS360 system for a premium automaker — was announced in mid-2025.
A Second Award for Brazilian HVAC Operations
The HVAC recognition covers complete climate-control systems built in Brazil for the South American market. Valeo HVAC products filter pollutants and manage air exchange to prevent carbon dioxide and moisture buildup inside the cabin, functions the company frames as health and safety contributions rather than comfort features. Valeo has operated in Brazil since 1974 and is among the country’s largest automotive technology companies.
