Introducing the NOMAD Platform

The NOMAD platform represents the second UGV form factor to be integrated with the Fury system. It is designed to be a fast and adaptable vehicle, built for the most challenging mission environments. The UGV is powered by Scout’s fastest foundation model to date, which has been purpose-built for compact robotic platforms. This technology enables NOMAD to operate autonomously beyond the line of sight, follow a human teammate from a safe distance, and integrate a wide array of payloads for various light tactical ground missions.

Advanced Camera-Only Autonomy

A key feature of the NOMAD is its reliance on Scout AI’s next-generation, camera-only autonomy. The system utilizes Vision-Language-Action (VLA) reasoning combined with rugged, commercial off-the-shelf hardware. By removing costly and fragile sensors and depending on fully learned models, the Fury system provides human-like judgment in real-time. This approach ensures NOMAD maintains a low-cost and low-signature footprint, making it a highly effective asset on the battlefield. The platform also introduces Scout’s second-generation Fury hardware stack, which is significantly more power-efficient and over 90% smaller than previous versions.
