At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2024, Huawei, in collaboration with The Tolly Group, announced the release of a test report for its Level 4 (L4) data center autonomous driving network solution. The solution, which scored an impressive 4.02 out of 5, marks a significant milestone as the only one of its kind in the industry to achieve L4 autonomy as evaluated by Tolly.
The evaluation conducted by The Tolly Group highlighted the Huawei CloudFabric solution’s superior performance across several critical aspects, including deployment efficiency, usability, maintainability, reliability, and network performance optimization. This achievement underscores Huawei’s innovative approach and deep industry insight, particularly in addressing the nuanced needs of sectors such as finance, government, and manufacturing.
Arthur Wang, President of the Data Center Network Domain at Huawei Data Communication Product Line, attributed the leap from L3.5 to L4 to the company’s “profound understanding of customer pain points” and its engagement in joint innovation projects with key customers. Wang reaffirmed Huawei’s dedication to partnering with customers and industry players to push data center networks into a new era of autonomy.
Kevin Tolly, the founder and CEO of The Tolly Group, lauded Huawei’s CloudFabric 3.0 solution for its pioneering introduction of network digital map functionality. This feature is instrumental in achieving unified orchestration and simulation, verification, and integrating application with network operations and maintenance (O&M) across multi-cloud heterogeneous environments. It represents a leap towards intelligent O&M capabilities that cater to both intelligent and general-purpose computing networks.
