SANY Group has shipped its first batch of SKT110Ei pure-electric autonomous mining trucks to South America, a fleet that departed the company’s Shenyang Heavy Equipment Industrial Park on August 12. The project pairs the autonomous truck fleet with an intelligent dispatching system and lifecycle operations and maintenance services, according to SANY Group. The company says it is the first deployment of its autonomous mining solution in Latin America and its first autonomous mining truck project in the region.

What SANY Is Shipping
The SKT110Ei is a pure-electric autonomous mining truck that SANY says is built for high reliability and availability with low energy consumption. The trucks run SANY’s fully in-house-developed autonomous driving system, which the company says lowers operating costs and improves productivity while reducing the need for manual operation.
The shipment is not a vehicle-only sale. SANY’s integrated solution combines autonomous trucks, roadside infrastructure and cloud-based dispatching with localized operations and maintenance support — an autonomous haulage package the company says was tailored to the customer’s operations in South America.
What Problems Is SANY Targeting in Mine Haulage?
SANY frames the deployment against four operating pressures it identifies across the global mining industry: complex operating conditions, haulage safety risks, shortages of skilled operators and rising labor costs. The company says its integrated autonomous driving solution addresses those conditions by improving safety, reducing operating costs and increasing efficiency.
Cabless Electric Truck Unveiled at Mining Summit
At the recent SANY Group Mining Summit 2026, the company also unveiled its first cabless pure-electric mining truck. The truck uses a liquid-cooled dual-gun charging system that SANY says supports ultra-fast charging while maintaining the range required for mine-site operations.
The cabless model offers three operating modes:
- On-site takeover — direct control from the mine site
- Remote takeover — teleoperated control
- Fully autonomous driving — no operator input
SANY Intelligent Mining’s Deployment Record
The autonomous mining business sits under SANY Intelligent Mining, a subsidiary of SANY International, one of SANY Group’s three listed companies. The unit develops systems spanning drive-by-wire chassis, multi-sensor perception, AI-based decision-making and cloud-based dispatching.
As of July 2026, the company had deployed more than 300 autonomous mining trucks. Those vehicles had logged more than 8 million miles (13 million kilometers) of safe operation and transported over 53 million cubic yards (41 million cubic meters) of earth and rock across a range of operating conditions, according to SANY.
