Oshkosh Defense LLC, a business unit of Oshkosh Corporation, introduces its Family of Multi-Mission Autonomous Vehicles (FMAV) at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting & Exposition in Hall B – Booth 1625. This showcase highlights production-ready platforms that align with U.S. Army modernization efforts, emphasizing long-range precision fires, resilient formations, and scalable autonomy for enhanced soldier capabilities in contested environments.

Key Highlights

Three variants demonstrated: X-MAV, M-MAV, and L-MAV, each built on proven tactical vehicle foundations.
X-MAV features robust chassis for heavy payloads, including four Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles, supporting the Common Autonomous Multi-Domain Launcher Heavy (CAML-H) program.
M-MAV, derived from the FMTV A2, enables optionally manned or fully autonomous operations with Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) Family of Munitions (MFOM).
L-MAV, evolved from U.S. Marine Corps ROGUE-Fires, offers modular configurations for counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS), electronic warfare, or resupply, displaying AeroVironment Switchblade 600 Loitering Munition and Titan C-UAS.
Platforms provide payload-agnostic versatility, reducing crew burden and boosting survivability through advanced navigation and automated resupply.

Extreme Multi-Mission Autonomous Vehicle (X-MAV)

The Oshkosh X-MAV serves as a purpose-built, autonomous-capable launcher engineered for long-range munitions. Its robust chassis handles the heaviest payloads, combined with proven off-road mobility and integrated onboard vehicle power. This makes it an ideal base for the CAML-H program in multi-domain missions. At the event, the X-MAV appears for the first time equipped with four Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles.

Medium Multi-Mission Autonomous Vehicle (M-MAV)

Based on the Oshkosh FMTV A2, the M-MAV addresses key U.S. Army challenges with integrated solutions for optionally manned or fully autonomous launcher operations. It incorporates advanced navigation, remote operation, and automated resupply to enhance survivability, lessen crew demands, and support dispersed, resilient fires formations. The display includes the MLRS Family of Munitions (MFOM).

Light Multi-Mission Autonomous Vehicle (L-MAV)

Developed from the U.S. Marine Corps ROGUE-Fires, the L-MAV stands as a proven, production-ready autonomous carrier with a modular design for swift mission adaptations. It supports roles in C-UAS, electronic warfare, or resupply, ensuring rapid operational readiness. The showcase features the AeroVironment Switchblade 600 Loitering Munition and Titan C-UAS.
