Mobileye will supply its Cloud-Enhanced Advanced Driver Assist technology to select future Stellantis vehicles starting in 2027, extending its road-mapping network to a new automaker partner. The integration draws on Mobileye’s REM Road Experience Management crowdsourced mapping system, which covers more than 95 percent of public roads in the United States and Europe. REM generated data from more than 8 million vehicles across 34 billion miles last year, with five of the world’s 10 largest automakers now contributing to the platform.

Hands-Free Driving Features Planned for 2027
With REM enabled through Cloud-Enhanced ADAS, the technology is designed to support selected safety and convenience features in future Stellantis models, ranging from intelligent lane keeping on unmarked roads to hands-free, eyes-on driving in designated areas and conditions. The first planned applications are expected in select U.S. models in 2027, with additional integration to follow depending on vehicle platform and configuration.
Nimrod Nehushtan, Mobileye’s executive vice president of business development and strategy, tied the agreement to the company’s broader technology roadmap, which he said spans Surround ADAS to fully autonomous vehicles.
“We’re proud to expand our work with Stellantis, bringing a new level of intelligence to the vehicle itself through REM and the EyeQ6L,” Nehushtan said. “Cloud-enhanced ADAS plays a core role in our lineup of advanced technologies, from Surround ADAS through fully autonomous vehicles, that enables safety and convenience features in a vertically integrated package at a cost-efficient scale.”
How REM Turns Camera Data Into Road Intelligence
REM uses the front-facing camera in EyeQ-equipped vehicles to gather selectively collected crowdsourced data about road features and the driving environment, including curb positions, crosswalk locations and typical driving paths. The anonymized data is transmitted to the cloud and processed into an intelligence layer that supports ADAS, automated driving and autonomous vehicle technologies. Mobileye said the resulting insights on traffic signals, lane geometry, average comfort speeds and other semantic features are sent back to vehicles on the road.
Coverage Extends Across Highway and Urban Roads
REM data spans road types from highway to deep urban driving in the United States and Europe, with what Mobileye described as extensive and growing coverage in key Asian, North American and South American markets. The company said the scale of its crowdsourcing fleet supports high coverage and continuous updates, allowing changes such as road construction to be reflected in the intelligence layer.
