Haomo.AI has successfully secured over RMB 100 million in its Series B1 financing round, spearheaded by Chengdu Wufa Private Equity Fund Management Co., Ltd. This significant investment marks a pivotal moment in the autonomous driving industry, particularly as the first major funding event following China’s Lunar New Year holiday. The influx of capital aims to propel Haomo’s research and development initiatives and bolster the robotics sector in Wuhou district, Chengdu, highlighting the region’s strategic economic growth and technological advancements.

Xie Yong, chairman of Chengdu Wuhou Capital Investment Group Co., Ltd., emphasized Wuhou’s historical significance and its role in economic development. “Wuhou has attracted investment and talents, contributing to the fast development of Chengdu and nearby Chongqing municipality,” Xie remarked, expressing confidence in Haomo’s potential to fortify its leadership in mass-produced autonomous driving solutions.

Zhang Kai, Haomo’s chairman, highlighted the company’s mission to deliver high-value intelligent driving solutions to a broader client base in 2024, underscoring the sector’s anticipated growth. “Haomo will continue to strengthen the autonomous driving industry chain and accelerate the commercialization of the autonomous driving technologies,” Zhang stated, acknowledging the support from Wuhou’s leadership.

The company’s CEO, Gu Weihao, outlined Haomo’s strategy to enhance its data intelligence system and research and development capabilities, especially in large model analytics, computing power, and big data processing. Despite a global trend of workforce reduction, Haomo is expanding its team, underscoring its commitment to innovation and growth.

Gu also revealed plans to diversify the application of autonomous driving technologies into new areas such as cleaning and security inspection, aiming to establish Wuhou as a benchmark for robotics in China. Haomo’s advanced driver assistance system, HPilot, is now integrated into over 20 vehicle models, assisting drivers in navigating more than 120 million kilometers with features like automatic braking and lane changing. The company envisions a 70% penetration rate of ADAS in China’s passenger vehicles by 2025, alongside the deployment of its Level 4 autonomous vans for grocery deliveries in Beijing, totaling nearly 300,000 parcels.

This strategic investment and Haomo’s ongoing initiatives signify a significant leap toward the commercialization and widespread adoption of autonomous driving technologies, positioning both Haomo and Wuhou district at the forefront of China’s robotics and intelligent transportation evolution.
