Einride, Centinus Partner on Autonomous Defense Logistics

Einride partners with Centinus to add threat detection and counter-UAS monitoring to its autonomous logistics platform, targeting a defense market it estimates at $7–13 billion through 2030.

Einride has launched a defense initiative with security software firm Centinus, targeting an addressable market the company estimates at $7 billion to $13 billion through 2030 across the U.S., EU, and other NATO countries. The partnership extends Einride’s AI-powered autonomous logistics platform with real-time threat detection, counter-UAS monitoring, and force protection capabilities for military and national security customers. Einride (Nasdaq: ENRD) says the collaboration is designed to help defense organizations move supplies through contested environments.

What the Centinus Partnership Adds

Einride’s autonomous driving technology and freight intelligence platform will serve as the logistics backbone, while Centinus layers protective capabilities on top. Centinus provides Physical AI software for protective systems across defense, public safety, and critical infrastructure, integrating data from drones, fixed cameras, RF sensors, EO/IR payloads, and command-and-control systems to help operators detect, classify, and track potential threats.

“Logistics has always been the decisive edge in warfare, and autonomous logistics changes the calculus entirely,” said General (Ret.) Keith B. Alexander, former Director of the National Security Agency, founding Commander of U.S. Cyber Command, and Einride board member. “Einride Driver gives armed forces a proven autonomous logistics backbone, and layering operational protection on top of it turns that into a capability designed for real-world deployment conditions.”

Centinus Chief Executive Officer Benjamin Cheatham framed the requirement as end-to-end coverage. “Defense customers will judge autonomous logistics not just on the strength of the driving platform, but on whether the full operation, routes, staging areas, depots, and the airspace above them, are protected end to end,” he said. “Partnering with Einride allows us to layer operational intelligence and protection capabilities onto a leading autonomous logistics platform to help deliver a more resilient end-to-end solution for defense operations.”

Building on an Established Defense Business

The initiative builds on groundwork Einride laid earlier this year. The company established a dedicated defense business unit after securing pilot contracts with a European NATO-allied defense organization, and it currently co-leads development of an autonomous tracked vehicle for a Swedish civil and military preparedness initiative. Einride began trading on Nasdaq under the ENRD ticker in June, and has expanded its U.S. commercial operations through projects like its Texas autonomous freight corridor on State Highway 130.
