WeRide, a leader in autonomous driving technology, has launched its latest GXR Robotaxi, boasting unmatched interior space and advanced autonomous features. Built upon 1,800 days of public operations, the GXR is designed to maximize passenger convenience and safety, integrating cutting-edge technology and an innovative design approach.
The GXR incorporates WeRide’s Level 4 autonomous driving capabilities, an open-concept spacious interior, and the new Sensor Suite 5.6 for 360-degree perception. It features the world’s first hidden B-pillar design, offering a wider entryway and superior safety features to ensure a smooth and secure ride.

WeRide GXR is built to handle peak traffic conditions, night driving, and mixed traffic seamlessly, thanks to its HPC 2.0 high-performance computing platform. The vehicle’s comprehensive redundancy system covers steering, computing, and braking to prevent single-point failures, further prioritizing passenger safety.
The Sensor Suite 5.6 ensures that GXR remains at the forefront of technology, featuring aerodynamic, compact sensors including LiDAR, high-definition cameras, and RTK inertial navigation for precise vehicle control. The system is engineered to offer 200-meter front detection and 360-degree blind-spot-free coverage.
In terms of passenger comfort, the GXR features a spacious cabin with soft-edged designs to provide safety akin to baby-level care. The removal of the front passenger seat maximizes space efficiency, and the hidden B-pillar design creates an expansive entryway for easy access. Emergency safety features include clear exit signage, a stop button, and a safety hammer for added assurance.
With the WeRide Go App, passengers will be able to book rides in the GXR seamlessly, accommodating everything from business trips to family outings.
