Verne, a cutting-edge urban mobility service powered by Mobileye, has been launched at the Rimac Campus. This new service features a purpose-built car design and an autonomous platform driven by Mobileye Drive™, showcasing innovative service concepts and functionalities.
Key Highlights:
- Founders and Leadership: Verne was founded by Mate Rimac along with Marko Pejković, now CEO of Verne, and Adriano Mudri, Chief Design Officer at Verne and designer of Nevera.
- Collaboration with Mobileye: Verne’s autonomous capabilities are enabled through a partnership with Mobileye, a global leader in autonomy. The Mobileye Drive™ platform will be integrated into Verne vehicles, equipped with advanced sensors including cameras, radar, and lidar.
- Autonomous Driving Capabilities: The Verne vehicle is designed to operate fully autonomously in dynamic urban environments. The platform is highly flexible and scalable, ensuring it can handle various road types, weather conditions, and local driving styles.
- Scalability and Flexibility: Mobileye’s AD platform is crafted to meet the demands of autonomous driving in diverse locations, crucial for Verne’s expansive future plans.
Verne’s Vision and Mission:
Verne represents a redefined approach to urban autonomous mobility. Named after the visionary author Jules Verne, the company aims to revolutionize personal transportation by harnessing the potential of autonomous technology.
