Teleo, a leading company in autonomous technology for heavy machinery, is expanding its reach beyond the construction sector. With new orders for 34 machines and partnerships across industries such as pulp and paper milling, logging, and port logistics, Teleo is now deploying its innovative supervised autonomy technology into diverse markets, including agriculture and snow removal. This expansion showcases Teleo’s growing influence in enhancing operational safety, efficiency, and productivity in industries facing labor shortages and operational challenges.
Key Highlights of Teleo’s Expansion:
- Expansion into new industries: Teleo is now serving pulp and paper, logging, port logistics, and munition clearing, in addition to snow removal and construction.
- 34 machines ordered: New customer deals for deploying autonomous machinery across various industries.
- Global reach: Teleo introduces its technology to Australia through its partnership with Black Cat Civil.
- Supervised Autonomy: Teleo’s technology allows operators to control multiple machines remotely, improving safety and productivity.
Teleo’s platform can convert any make, model, or vintage of heavy machinery into autonomous systems, enhancing the capabilities of wheel loaders, terminal tractors, and excavators. This machine-agnostic approach enables the company to serve diverse sectors, with expansion plans into areas such as airports, waste management, and logistics.
The company’s supervised autonomy technology allows one operator to oversee several machines from a central command center, eliminating the need for operators to be in harsh or dangerous environments. This not only boosts operational safety but also addresses labor shortages plaguing industries like construction, where 91% of firms struggle to find workers, according to the Associated General Contractors of America.
New Industry Applications:
- Munition Clearing: Teleo’s technology will be used by Brice Environmental Services in Alaska to ensure safe remote excavation in areas with potential explosives.
- Pulp and Paper: RYAM, a global leader in paper milling, will deploy Teleo-equipped machines to haul materials around the clock at their Florida mill, improving productivity and safety.
- Logging and Port Logistics: In Finland, Teleo’s technology will support autonomous operations in logging and bulk material hauling, overcoming labor shortages and enhancing operational safety.
Teleo’s entry into snow removal and its continued expansion in construction further highlight its commitment to offering scalable, autonomous solutions across a wide array of sectors, improving safety and efficiency while addressing key industry challenges.
