SAE International is renowned for promoting, developing, and advancing engineering across aerospace, commercial vehicles, and automotive sectors. The SAE 2024 Intelligent and Connected Vehicles Symposium, where RoboSense received its awards, centers on global trends and innovative technologies shaping automotive intelligence and connectivity.

RoboSense’s M platform represents a second-generation intelligent solid-state LiDAR. As one of the first LiDAR technologies to achieve automotive-grade mass production, it offers high performance, reliability, and scalability. The MX, the mid-range option of the M platform, serves as a benchmark for ultimate design and affordability while pushing intelligent driving into a broader market. Notably, the MX LiDAR is available for vehicles priced above $28,000 as well as for dealer-installed options for vehicles between $21,000 and $28,000, giving more customers access to enhanced intelligent driving experiences.

The MX LiDAR comes equipped with RoboSense’s in-house M-Core SoC chip, which integrates scanning, processing, and receiving modules into a single unit. The 25mm height, ultra-quiet operation, and low power consumption ensure practical functionality, while its maximum detection range of 200 meters and field of view angle of 120°×25° with 126 lines (equivalent to 251 lines in the ROI area) offer impressive capability. Additionally, the intelligent “GAZE” function has been upgraded for adjustable ROI, enhancing safety and efficiency in intelligent driving.

With innovations such as the M platform, RoboSense has consistently earned industry and market recognition. The Gasgoo Auto Research Institute (GARI) reported that RoboSense ranked No.1 in market share with 40.3% from January to June 2024. By the end of June, RoboSense had secured 80 vehicle model design wins from 22 OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, achieving mass production for 29 vehicle models across 12 customers. As of September 30, 2024, RoboSense’s cumulative LiDAR sales surpassed 720,000 units, further solidifying its market leadership.
