Pony AI Inc., a global leader in autonomous mobility, has unveiled its seventh-generation autonomous driving system and showcased its new Robotaxi lineup in partnership with Toyota, BAIC, and GAC at the Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition. This marks a significant step toward the company’s goal of mass-producing Robotaxis starting in mid-2025.

The seventh-generation autonomous driving system features a fully automotive-grade autonomous driving kit (ADK) designed for enhanced stability and safety. It offers an extended product lifecycle, ensuring long-term reliability. Pony AI has achieved a 70% reduction in bill-of-materials (BOM) costs, with specific cuts of 80% in autonomous driving computation (ADC) and 68% in solid-state LiDAR, making the technology more scalable and affordable.
This system’s modular platform architecture allows it to adapt seamlessly to various vehicle models, including the new Robotaxi lineup and future Robotruck services. This flexibility strengthens Pony AI’s position in the autonomous mobility market.

Pony AI debuted three Robotaxi models at the Shanghai Auto Show: the Toyota bZ4X Robotaxi, BAIC ARCFOX Alpha T5, and GAC second-generation Aion V. These partnerships highlight the company’s collaborative approach to innovation.
With operations spanning China, Europe, East Asia, and the Middle East, Pony AI aims to commercialize autonomous mobility globally.
