oToBrite has teamed up with Advantech to co-develop high-performance, vision-AI solutions for Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR). This partnership combines oToBrite’s automotive-grade GMSL cameras with Advantech’s AFE-R360 platform, powered by Intel® Core™ Ultra H/U, to deliver cost-effective, high-resolution AI capabilities for next-generation AMRs.

Key Highlights:

  • Integration of oToBrite’s GMSL automotive cameras with Advantech’s AFE-R360 platform.
  • Intel® Core™ Ultra H/U with Arc™ graphics enhances AI performance.
  • Focus on warehouse logistics, autonomous delivery, and terminal tractors.

oToBrite, known for its vision-AI ADAS products, brings its experience in automotive-grade technology to the AMR sector. Their GMSL cameras are designed to handle large volumes of data, ensuring real-time vision-AI processing. These cameras are also used in products like L2+ ADAS and L4 autonomous valet parking, which leverage GMSL technology for high-speed data transmission. This capability is crucial for meeting the complex needs of AMR systems, particularly in environments demanding low-latency and high-resolution data.

As AMR applications grow in areas such as warehouse logistics, last-mile autonomous delivery, and autonomous terminal tractors, the need for real-time, uncompressed, high-resolution perception becomes paramount. The oToCAM222 camera series, featuring 2.5M pixels and multiple viewing angles (63.9°/120.6°/195.9°), offers a solution tailored for low-speed AMR in challenging logistics and industrial environments. Its IP67/69K-rated durability and high-speed, low-latency data processing make it ideal for vision-AI AMRs.

Advantech’s AFE-R360 platform, powered by Intel’s Core™ Ultra 16-core processor with Arc™ graphics and an integrated neural processing unit (NPU), provides up to 32 trillion operations per second (TOPs). Enhanced by the OpenVINO™ toolkit, the platform ensures optimized AI performance. The system also features a 3.5″ single board computer (SBC) supporting up to eight MIPI-CSI lanes for seamless GMSL input, delivering the low latency and noise immunity essential for autonomous operations. 3 LAN and 3 USB-C ports are included for integrating depth and LiDAR sensors, expanding the system’s versatility.

oToBrite’s expertise in automotive-grade GMSL cameras, vision-AI models, and embedded system software has been honed in its IATF16949-certified factory. Their advanced active alignment technology and skill in image quality tuning and calibration are vital for AMR applications. This partnership with Advantech aims to deliver cost-effective, high-performance AMR solutions that cater to diverse industries, from logistics to manufacturing.
