LiDAR Innovation Takes Center Stage

ASENSING, a leader in smart mobility sensors, unveiled its latest LiDAR sensor at CES 2024, accentuating its presence in the rapidly evolving autonomous technology landscape. At their booth #3570 in the LVCC, West Hall, the company also presented a range of high-precision positioning products, showcasing its cutting-edge contributions to the industry.

The newly introduced A2 LiDAR is compact, customizable, and cost-efficient, making it an ideal fit for Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) & autonomous driving, robotics, and various machinery applications. ASENSING’s commitment to scalable production and prompt shipment within the year highlights its responsiveness to market needs.

LiDAR technology stands out for its superior accuracy, higher angular resolution, and extended range detection capabilities, surpassing traditional radar and camera sensors. This advancement is crucial for L2+ ADAS and autonomous driving applications. The growing significance of LiDAR is reflected in its soaring shipment figures, with nearly 600,000 units delivered to passenger vehicles in China in 2023, a significant leap from approximately 160,000 in 2022, as reported by HiEV, an industry media.

The global LiDAR market is poised for exponential growth. Industry experts from Yole Group project its value to escalate from $317 million in 2022 to an impressive $4.5 billion by 2028, indicating the technology’s pivotal role in automotive innovation.

Showcasing a suite of high-precision positioning solutions, ASENSING’s exhibit at CES for the third consecutive year includes its Integrated Navigation System (P-Box), Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), and High-Precision GNSS Positioning Module. These products demonstrate the company’s deep expertise and leadership in automotive positioning sensor systems.

With over a decade of experience, ASENSING has earned nominations for car models from over 30 OEMs globally. Its dominance in China’s automotive industry is evident, holding over 60% market share in high-precision positioning, as per a study by Shenzhen-based consultancy GGAI-AV.
