Advancing Assisted Driving Technology
The partnership focuses on two major projects. Bosch will develop a new multi-purpose camera powered by Horizon’s Journey 6B processor. This camera supports SAE Level 2 assisted driving features, providing a cost-effective solution for improved safety and comfort. It has already gained interest from multiple global and Chinese original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), with mass production planned for mid-2026.
Additionally, Bosch is creating an ADAS product family for mid-segment vehicles using Horizon’s Journey 6E/M processors. This system offers advanced features like urban navigation-assisted driving, supporting up to 10 routes of memory driving and parking, plus one-move parking assistance. It has secured contracts with five OEMs, including JeTour, Dongfeng, and BAIC. The first model will hit the market in June 2025, with an overseas project set for early 2026, marking Bosch’s global expansion in this space.
Industry Recognition and Impact
Horizon’s Journey 6 series is earning praise for its performance and cost efficiency. Over 20 OEMs have integrated it into more than 100 smart vehicle models, with shipments projected to exceed 1 million units by 2025. This positions Horizon as a key player in the ADAS market.
Leaders from both companies are optimistic about the collaboration. Bosch’s Wang Weiliang emphasized the role of combined expertise in driving smart mobility. Christoph Hartung highlighted Bosch’s support for Chinese OEMs and global scalability. Horizon’s Yu Kai expressed pride in partnering with Bosch to deliver safe, reliable driving experiences worldwide.
