Hesai Group, a global leader in lidar technology, has launched its innovative Infinity Eye lidar solution, designed for L2 to L4 autonomous driving systems. Unveiled alongside three advanced automotive-grade lidar products—ETX ultra-long-range lidar, AT1440 ultra-high-definition lidar, and FTX fully solid-state blind spot lidar—this solution promises to redefine perception capabilities for autonomous vehicles. Tailored configurations, Infinity Eye A, B, and C, address the needs of L4, L3, and L2 systems, respectively, ensuring precise and reliable detection across diverse driving scenarios.
Key Highlights:
- Infinity Eye A: Combines four AT1440 and four FTX lidars for 360° zero-blind-spot coverage, ideal for L4 systems like Robotaxis.
- Infinity Eye B: Features ETX and FTX lidars for long-range and blind-spot detection, supporting L3 conditional autonomy.
- Infinity Eye C: Utilizes compact ATX lidar for L2 ADAS, with over 50,000 units delivered since Q1 2025.
- Advanced Technology: Hesai’s fourth-generation platform enhances point cloud density and filters 99.9% of environmental noise.
- Mass Production: AT1440 and ETX set for production in 2025 and 2026, with 2 million units annually capacity.
For L4 systems, Infinity Eye A leverages the AT1440, boasting 1,440 channels and a 300-meter range, delivering a point rate of 34 million points per second. This enables precise detection of small urban obstacles. The FTX, with its 180° × 140° field of view, ensures comprehensive blind-spot coverage. Infinity Eye B, designed for L3, uses the ETX lidar with a 400-meter range and compact design, already securing nominations from a European OEM. Infinity Eye C’s ATX lidar, adopted by 11 major OEMs, offers a 200-meter range and low power consumption for L2 ADAS.
Hesai’s platform supports scalability across automotive and robotics markets, with 85% component commonality and partnerships with over 1,700 robotics firms. With projected deliveries of 1.2–1.5 million units in 2025, Hesai is poised to drive advancements in autonomous driving and robotics.
