Great Wall Motor, one of China’s leading automotive manufacturers, continues to expand its presence in new energy and intelligent vehicle technologies. In 2023, the company sold over 1.23 million vehicles, including a record-breaking 262,000 electric vehicles (EVs). By the first three quarters of 2024, Great Wall Motor’s EV sales reached 195,000, marking robust year-over-year growth of 57.2%.
The partnership between Hesai and Great Wall Motor began in February 2024. In August, the WEY Blue Mountain SUV, equipped with Hesai’s AT128 lidar, entered mass production and delivery. This premium SUV integrates full-scenario NOA (Navigation on Autopilot) capabilities, enabled by lidar-enhanced perception, and offers advanced safety features, including improved night vision through 3D lidar and 2D vision fusion.
Hesai’s ATX lidar sets itself apart with its proprietary platform technology, delivering superior point cloud resolution while minimizing size, weight, and power consumption. The ATX model has gained traction among multiple automotive manufacturers, making it a preferred choice for mass-production vehicles launching in 2025.
Over the next two years, Great Wall Motor plans to integrate Hesai lidar into additional models, driving the adoption of NOA capabilities and advancing intelligent mobility solutions globally.
