Hesai, a global leader in lidar solutions, has signed an exclusive agreement to supply 1.5 million automotive lidar units to Changan Automobile for its new intelligent driving platform. The collaboration focuses on Hesai’s ATX compact lidar, which will be featured across multiple Changan brands and models, with production beginning in the second half of 2025.

Under this agreement, Hesai will be responsible for providing lidar products for over 10 vehicle models across different brands under the Changan Automobile umbrella. The first mass production model is expected to roll out in the latter half of 2025. The collaboration follows the successful launch of the Changan Nevo E07, which features two Hesai AT128 lidars and was highly praised upon its release in October.
The ATX model is a compact, ultra-high-resolution long-range lidar, featuring Hesai’s proprietary technology aimed at enhancing point cloud resolution while minimizing volume, weight, and power consumption. This technological advancement has positioned the ATX as a favored component for mass production by multiple automotive companies, with a targeted integration into 2025 vehicle models.
