Ford BlueCruise allows drivers to enjoy hands-free driving on highways, making long road trips across multiple countries seamless. Imagine driving from Sweden to Italy, covering almost 1,864 miles and 25+ hours, all hands-free.
With approval from the European Commission, BlueCruise is now accessible in 17 countries, including the U.S. and Canada, as well as Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Great Britain, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden.
BlueCruise’s momentum has been building globally. In 2023, it became the first system to gain regulatory approval in Great Britain, providing true hands-free driving at highway speeds. Ford also led the way in Spain and Germany, offering hands-free highway driving.
The benefits of BlueCruise include reducing driver fatigue and enhancing energy levels, whether on daily commutes or long trips. According to AAA, people spend an average of one hour driving daily, which can be tiring and stressful. BlueCruise alleviates this, making driving more enjoyable.
In North America, BlueCruise is available on more Ford and Lincoln models, including the 2025 Ford Explorer and 2025 Lincoln Aviator SUVs. With Aviator deliveries starting this summer, all Lincoln U.S. models will offer BlueCruise.
Owners have shared positive experiences, such as F-150 Lightning owner Peter Lamarine, who said, “BlueCruise changed what was a completely boring, monotonous ride to something that is now enjoyable. The worst part of my day is work, and the best part is driving to and from work.”
With over 420,000 BlueCruise-equipped vehicles on the road globally, customers in the U.S. and Canada have driven more than 213 million hands-free miles, equating to a round trip from Earth to the sun.
