Ford has introduced BlueCruise 1.4, the latest version of its hands-free highway driving technology, designed to offer a smoother, more seamless driving experience. The new software enhances vehicle performance on curves, improves stability, and extends hands-free driving time in various weather conditions. Available on select 2025 models and through future software updates, BlueCruise 1.4 builds on previous versions, incorporating feedback from customers and real-world driving data.

- Smooth Speed Adjustments on Curves: BlueCruise 1.4 automatically adjusts the vehicle’s speed during sharp curves, enabling longer hands-free engagement.
- Enhanced In-Lane Stability: A new motion controller reduces side-to-side movement, improving vehicle stability and providing a smoother driving experience.
- Extended Hands-Free Driving in Weather: The new version allows for longer hands-free driving in challenging weather conditions, such as rain and direct sunlight.
- Built on Previous Features: Users continue to benefit from features like Lane Change Assist and In-Lane Repositioning, ensuring a more convenient and safe driving experience.
- Available on 2025 Models and Via Updates: BlueCruise 1.4 will be pre-installed on select Ford and Lincoln models, including the 2025 Ford F-150 and Lincoln Navigator, and will roll out to other vehicles through software updates.
Ford’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) team is dedicated to continuous improvement through the power of customer feedback and real-world driving data. With more than 492,000 BlueCruise-equipped vehicles on the road and over 244 million hands-free highway miles driven, the company uses this large-scale data to enhance future versions of BlueCruise.
