DeepRoute.ai, a leader in smart driving technology, has announced the successful closure of a Series C1 funding round totaling $100 million. This strategic investment comes from a major Chinese automotive original equipment manufacturer (OEM). The newly raised funds will be used to accelerate the development of DeepRoute IO, the company’s next-generation end-to-end autonomous driving system, foster collaborations with global automakers, and support growth in the Robotaxi sector.

Since August, over 20,000 vehicles integrated with DeepRoute IO have been delivered to customers. The company is also preparing to release more than 10 additional models in partnership with select OEMs next year. Furthermore, DeepRoute.ai aims to develop the next iteration of DeepRoute IO, which will incorporate a visual-language-action model set for release in 2024. This expanded technology will strengthen DeepRoute.ai’s role in the global automotive market, building upon its established success in the domestic sector.

The funding will also enable DeepRoute.ai to continue enhancing its smart driving solutions. As human-supervised smart vehicles generate more data, DeepRoute IO will advance towards achieving full autonomy, potentially leading to the development of unsupervised Robotaxis through collaborations with mobility platforms. Unlike traditional Robotaxis, which rely on pre-mapped data and are restricted to specific areas, DeepRoute.ai’s technology will allow for a scalable and cost-effective solution for deploying autonomous vehicles globally.
Since its founding in 2019, DeepRoute.ai has made significant strides in advancing smart driving technology. The company began developing map-free navigation technology in 2020, which debuted in 2023 as a first in China, enabling vehicles to navigate both urban and highway environments without high-definition maps.
